Connelly and Associates installed a constant pressure system for a new residential construction project located in Potomac, Maryland. The pump and pressure system was jointly designed to serve as the fire suppressant/sprinkler system for the home. A five horsepower submersible pump was installed on rigid pipe to meet the demands of the day to day water usage and fire suppressant system, up to 30gpm at 60 PSI for ten minutes, if ever needed. This system relies on a variable speed drive that communicates directly with the submersible pump. The system is both adjustable and programmable to ensure the pump is always performing at the level of which it is required.
